Qualification Regulation and Support

The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety has been accredited and credit rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Accreditation. It sits in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at SCQF Level 6 with 11 SCQF credit points.

SCQF Level 6 is comparable to RQF/CQFW Level 3 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Eligibility: There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

Declaration of results:

As notified by NEBOSH in the Hall Ticket (Generally 45 working days from the examination date)

Qualification grading and issue of qualification parchment

Your qualification grade is based only on the result from the question paper (Unit IG1). But you need to achieve a ‘Pass’ in both units (Unit IG1 and IG2) before the parchment can be issued.

From the result declaration date, it may take another 20 working days for the delivery of certificate
